Reviews for "TechnoSpire 2"

That was awesome!

First off, the concept of giving a space theme to an old-school-styled RPG is something fascinating, besides this game genre always being something good.

The soundtrack and gameplay are excellent as well. The first levels may get hard to some, but after finishing some levels and making the first upgrades it ends up being easier to beat. The "more ships" and "more traps" challenges are also entertaining, along with being able to get upgrades by completing these as well. And the few slightly challenging badges help to motivate oneself to finish every single challenge in this game.

Overall, it's a pretty good submission and I hope we can see some more of these games in the future.

i felt this game deserves 5 stars because of its simplicity. not that it was overly so but in that it did not use any strange gimmicks it was straightforward and easy to learn, it was also quite enjoyable.

i did find that the "increase armor, hp and healing" ability was a bit overpowered though. i put maybe 4 into attack, and 64 into that armor one, and enemies did about 2 damage to me at the end of the game, i just held a direction button and enemies would kill themselves and heal me 22 hp *about what they dealt to me* i was virtually immortal. the last level even with extra traps and enemies was just a "hold directional button towards enemies and switch directions when i hit a wall"

besides that i did really enjoy the game. good music, good sound effects, clever design of levels *having tight corridor levels and wide open areas also* it made you change up how you fought, i liked that.

the one aspect i did not like *though not enough to give it less stars* is the upgrade system itself, having an enemy drop something that gives you a point seems a bit...messy. by that i mean that i would be fighting enemies and kill 5+ in the same square and not even notice one of them dropped it because another powerup fell on top of it. this was also annoying when an enemy killed itself by attacking me *and taking damage* i would have 3 enemies dieing on the same turn and i felt kinda cheated at the end of the level because i missed the data cube.

still a good game. beat it in about 20 minutes. i suggest making more of these.

This is an awesome old school type rpg, but with a space theme!
The music is dark, moody, and dreary, which adds greatly to this epic space exploration game.
I'm really enjoying playing this.
Good stuff.
Keep up the great work!

pretty interesting game
