Reviews for "TrackLand Unity"

Now I want to get this straight. I'm not a racing game fan, or to be more accurate, I'm not a fan of more realistic racing games. Mario kart is great. F1 racing doesn't interest me.

Trackracing, in a nutshell is a fairly generic racing game BUT, and theres a pretty big but to this, but there are some things present here that made a pretty significant difference to me.

1. The tracks are super short. Any given track will last 30 seconds to a minute and that is great because I can't be the only one who thinks going around in circles for 5 minutes isn't fun. Also, since they are so short, even if you lose or crash, the races are over so fast you aren't given long enough to care, leaving more fun in the next round and not a 2 minute mope session because that one screw up made it impossible for you to catch up and you have to finish the race.

2. Players are essentially ghosts. This in itself is the source for a lot of the games pros. Everyone starts on the exact same spot so there's no early unfair advantage of being in the inside lane vs the outside for no reason other than you aren't player 1. No collision means no crashing, blocking or otherwise wrecking into people. Adding to that, if you do wreck, you have no one to blame but yourself because you're basically the only one on the track.

3. There's no mini map. That's right. No peeking to see where short cuts are or knowing which turn to take ahead of time. All you have is what you can see so expect some blind turns and having to learn on your toes.

4. The controls are simple and tight. I've played racing games on consoles, works great. I was pretty leery on how this would work with the keyboard but I was pleasantly surprised how finely tuned they were.

5. This one is more of a list of things over all fine with Trackracing. The tracks aren't just circles and figure eights. There are some jumps, speed boosters and at least an attempt to challenge the player but over all, nothing too crazy from what I've seen. Graphics are quite nice and colorful. Connecting with other players is very fast and I had no connection issues at all. I don't know if this is just how Facebook works but being able to play without a Facebook account is always a plus to me. Lastly, none of the cars have stats so picking one is about taste and not because it's the best, a feature I was quite fond of as a new player can be on the same playing field as a veteran in that respect.

Overall, as a person who finds real racing boring, and realistic racing games super boring, I was not bored with Trackracing. It cut out a lot of the things I dislike about generic racing games and was more to the point. With some fancy cars to unlock, lots of tracks to burn your tires on and a nonexistent price tag, I see no reason to not to play it.

This is the most incredible, amazing, diverse, fun, and addicting game I have ever played in a web browser. Good freakin' job, devs!

i found one glitch/bug in this game. In split screen mode when your rival rewinds their time goes down and they move backwards(like it's made to), your time goes down when they do this also, but you don't move backwards. this makes the race unfair because it makes it possible to get one second as the time you did the race in.

Cheats, plz?

AMMMMMMMAZING!!!!!
