Reviews for "The Crawler"

I enjoyed this more than i thought i would good job.
Also any specifics on the music when she opens the door?

SethBrady responds:

All the music was by Brendan Steere and his band, Free Parking. I'm assuming he's the one doing that operatic singing you hear.

Message me if that doesn't answer your question.

Oh, the wonderful bite of irony. Nice work.

Better to have big hairy man legs than no legs at all.

Good animation, though the accents were so thick I couldn't understand some of what they were saying.

I was delightfully surprised when I found out this was animated by the same guy that did Ratticus. This was a nice cartoon to watch and the animation was really fluent. Did you do any rotoscoping? I feel like a lot of the movements were drawn over actor's movements, from the subtle head turns to the creature standing upright and walking. The setting and colors were a nice choice. It felt grim, a little depressing, but didn't bring down the mood of the whole thing, since the humor complimented it.

The only criticism that I would point out is the voice acting. It's isn't bad, but it's not the greatest; still your voice actors did do well enough to make the characters and their dialogue believable.

I'm going to end this review before it gets too long so I give you four stars. I can't wait to see more!

SethBrady responds:

Fuck no, I never do rotoscoping, and I never will. Actually no, I would do rotoscoping if I were animating a car, truck, tank etc. by filming a model moving around, but NEVER a character. It's the worst, most unnatural, biggest CHEAT in the industry, and fuck Ralph Bakshi for falling into it. He used to make such great films before Lord of the Rings and such.
