Great concept, love the old-school feel, but the delay in controls was so annoying, couldn't play it any longer. I would've also preferred a hit system, rather than 1 hit you're dead.

At first I though this was going to be a good game. Fantasy elements, Platforming elements, Shoot-em-up elements...but then I got into the game and the controls are TERRIBLE!!!!!! It makes it unplayable!!!!!! I mean I can't count how many times I died because I'd hit the jump button and I'd just fall, or I'd hit the shoot button--multiple times--and I'd just stand there, or I'd just want to nudge my character a little bit to the left or right and I'd walk off a ledge and die.

Also why does your mana deplete so quickly when you use the "flashlight" function...also, not to be nit-picky about this but if you need that "flashlight" function throughout the game make the light circle bigger so you can see what's coming...getting killed by those falling blocks simply because you can't see them is not the mark of a good game.

I'm sorry for the low score but the horrible controls and the fact that you lose mana WAY too fast when you need light and the light you do have fails to warm you of upcoming danger just makes this a big fail. If it was retweaked: controls fixed, slower mana drain and the light circle bigger then I might give it another go...
