Eh..... I was expecting a bit more than this. First off, I don't really get the choice of poems. The only one that actually has something "morbid" within them are Humpty Dumpty and the Five Little Ducks ones, everything else was just fabricated and forced. I mean hell, the Itsy Bitsy Spider involving death? Come on now. There are WAAAY more darker nursery rhymes out there, I just don't get why you chose a few of the tamest ones. Second, the animation was pretty sub-par in my opinion. If you're going to do one of those gory and bloody types of animations, you need to actually make the blood and gore look at least partly realistic else it looks silly. All in all, I just found it a bit disappointing.
Not too shabby, but it feels like wasted potential. Am I the only one who thinks it was a bit too tame to appeal to it's demographic audience like me, who likes and even prefers their humor on the dark and twisted side? Animation takes away from the shock value as opposed to live action, but also adds unlimited potential to exaggerate the details, and each nursery rhyme would do better as a classic and relentless case of bad to worse to build on its premise. Aside from that, very nicely done and refreshingly original!
People don't seem to understand that their ratings determine what makes it on the front page. I'm not saying this because this is a bad animation, but it's not worthy of five stars. Five stars should be reserved for truly outstanding works of art, and this is only well done. A little disturbing, I'll admit, but the animation and sound is pretty good. However, not what I would expect from the front page.
