Reviews for "The Adventurer"

Overall it's OK, but...

Your character doesn't have a background,

The angle and Devil things aren't explained,

The animation is a bit slow (understatement),

He beat a giant boar with the wind off his blade... that's a bit overpowered for just starting off, and

I think your character is a Marty Stew.

This is a fun video. Reminds me of playing Dungeons and Dragons or Castlevania as a youth. Adventures riding through trails...Good work.

not bad. Although it never really had an ending. it just sort of stopped.

everything was great except it seemed slow paced for a flash about travaling through wonders and adventure especially during the pig part it felt like he was going in bullet time mode -_-

I always try to see the bigger picture when watching or reading anything, and I'm blown away by what I took away from this. You not only perfectly displayed the actual experience of playing video games, but you also showed why people do it in the first place. In video games,we don't just control the characters-we BECOME them.Everything they do and experience is because it's what we would were it us in those scenarios.I'm not saying we should spend all of our time playing video games because I know full well how unhealthy that can be having done it enough times myself to know when to take a break. It's because of that very immersion that honestly anyone can become addicted to any video game-even the "bad" ones.Anyone who says video games are a waste of time either has never played one or simply lacks what it takes to feel the wonder and amazement that can and should come when doing so.The reason I don't give this a higher rating is only because I've seen higher-quality animation in other flashes.Regardless, this is probably one of the few flashes I've seen where the story is even more astonishing than the presentation.I only hope I'm not the only one who feels this way or has thought all of this.At the very least, people should see themselves and no one else when watching that boy.
