I...don't even to a vague level what's being referenced to this time around. Not even the altered names sound remotely familiar. Perhaps that's for the better?
I'm more confused than anything. I didn't laugh at all because I was too busy figuring this out AND the fact that there was a lot of speaking in this episode.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I can't bring myself to give this anything more than 2 stars and that's just because of the animation fluidity (which, as great as it's ever been, it's most certainly not the end-all, be-all factor). Everything else just muddies the waters here and detracts from the experience that, originally, this series sucked me in with.
