Reviews for "The Little Jamurai"

nice idea

i'm really into this idea. really cool blend. the main character could sound more manly tho

dreadslick responds:

The Little Jamurai's just a kid so cut him a little slack, fellas.

Daaaaamn...

I love how you mixed two unique film styles and the excellant use of underground music. I've been to your site, and Iceberg Slick's painting are tight. This really channel the spirit of contemporary non-commercialized hip hop.

dreadslick responds:

Thanks. We got another toon fropping in a few days (June 7 or 8) so keep a lookout.

generic hybrid

An entirely too farmiliar cleche. I have seen that scene played out in dozens of books, movies, stories etc. Nothing enjoyable.

Somewhat unique art, would be nice to see something more creative done with it

dreadslick responds:

The word you're trying for is cliché. Yeah, since we dropped this IN 2000, there's been a bunch of hip hop samurai hybrids popping up. Too bad your just seeing it now. At the time tho... There was just us at Dreadfully Slick. The scene is a classic one, which is why we did it. It's what makes it funny.

Cool

This is not supposed to be entertaining truetemper, it shows that it is not the size of the person, it is the size of the courage and strength that is inside as well as it showing that sometimes life can be suprising, great job, this is a slick flash

dreadslick responds:

But being entertaining helps.

A waste of time

I'm usually not very critical of people's work on this site, since I know it takes a lot of work to make a good flash movie.... but I'm sorry friend, that was just a complete waste of time. The graphics were solid, and the sound was tolerable, but the story (if you can call it that) was just worthless. Some kid murdered two people over a radio... and that's... cool?........... Violence shouldn't be entertaining, but it can be, and that just wasn't... in any way.

dreadslick responds:

Actually 2 people stole and threaten voilence over a radio. And paid a price for it. There is a significance to the radio and a rule of law in the Jamurai World. In that world our protagonist didn't commit murder. We've got 6 other cartoons and nearly 100 pages of comics to spell it out for you. Stop by sometime.
