Reviews for "The Grey Rainbow"

It wont work for me i played it on another site and adore it but i want the medals... plz fix this

Edit: Forgot I left this review. I managed to get the medals before the flash-pocalypse, thank god becuse I can't get the newgrounds player to work for the life of me. I have no memory of how the medal problem was solved though, lol.

BlackOlive responds:

Any luck? I don't know what the problem is, since medals work fine for me and the other people who test for me.

this is, and always will be my favorite story, it disheartened and heartened me. i love it

BlackOlive responds:

Thanks!

Adored this game. I won't go so far as to say it made me cry but it sure did make me smile. I shared it with my friends and family. Lovely story, beautiful background music, art was whimsical and perfectly suited to the game content. I enjoyed very much. Thank you for the time you spent on this gem.

[SPOILER ALERT AND YOU DONT WANT SPOILER IN THIS GAME] What the heck.. I wasn't expecting this. I mean i'm looking for exactly this type of game but was skeptical. So meaningful. To me this is hope. Like watching the rebirth of the phoenix, after months nurturing what is everything and at the same time nothing in my greying world. The strongest magic in this world is of stories? Hey you awakened MY magic from its slumber.

This was very unexpected and enjoyable. I found this at a good point in my life, what with feeling paralyzed, confused, yet still hopeful. Some wisdom I knew of, some I hadn't really considered. Amidst many others, the idea of venturing into the journey of life with patience, believing it will be worthwhile, is both brilliant and beautiful. Potential is something I've been thinking about since I was a little child; it's apart of the meaning of my name.
I enjoyed the art; for me, I wanted to see more into the ideas themselves, rather than the surface (strictly the visuals). It left more room for imagination.
Some of the ideas and humor were cliche (like getting a kiss from a random female, a cheating squirrel, and drunkenness); it was apparent that the more knowledgeable and 'wise' characters were still created from a human mind, as contrasted to the true Source of Love and our Creator, Who is far beyond any imagination. This truth is found not simply from information, but, as mentioned, experience.
Regardless, I still found much value in the game. I keep wanting to think more about the content - in a good way. I could see a good bit of thought was put into the game, and am interested in the potential of future games and/or artistic endeavors. Bravo!
