Reviews for "Nuclear Plant 2"

For the run-of-the-mill Defender styled shooter, Nuclear Plant 2 is sound and forward. With the survival now on the moon, the player's improvement of life comes in the form of new drops. Acceleration and Freeze allow more battle flow control; this allows researching, healing, and evasion feel more practical. The artwork and ambiance are very fitting, subtle tones and deep contrast are used. Personally this gives the game longevity as you always know where you are. Definitely a worthy sequel.

However my ratings come from the skills and time as an experience game player. Memorable events and being able to alternate how you play becomes more important to these kinds of players. Simply puts, these traits round to innovation, thus players will just want more. Newer and more casual players should get good mileage from the game. I do recommend these players to try Nuclear Plant 2.

In all honesty, the game would have been a 3-4...If I hadn't played the same game in your first version. Other than a new background, a few new interfaces, and some makeup slabbed on the enemies, it's the EXACT same game. Guns are the same, think the upgrades use the same interface from the first one, and it still dies out at the end. As with the first one, once you gotten used to the game, it stops getting harder. Sure, more enemies come and eventually get harder, but you upgrades and gun easily outclass them. There's no real challenge once you get used to the game, and since there are tons of games like this out there, you get comfy pretty quick. It would have been interesting to research gun upgrades, enemies to deal more damage -if you'd put more in- to them, and maybe make it so that the monsters can attack the plant as well. Simply making the plant vulnerable would have made the game more challenging. You'd have to prioritize certain enemies over others rather than just jumping around spamming bullets at whatever was right in front (or beneath because you're jumping) of you. This feels less like 2 and more like 1.1 or 1.2. In the end, it's a game that suffers just like every other game of it's type, longevity. eventually you get all the upgrades, get the biggest gun, and enemies can't touch you while you drop them like god. I actually liked how the ending wasn't what we expected in the first one as well.

In the end, The game is good, runs smooth, and looks nice. I just wish you'd pushed the envelope, or nudged it, or even breathed on it. Essentially, it feels like a new paint job and a new sale sticker were slapped on the original and we were told it was new.

good game but you are the bad guy just saying u go to moon to set up new world because u kill your old one and the only way to do that it so make the new planet in habitable which would kill all of the home speices and all they want to do is live
any way good game kind of easy tho and but mostly eh

Far too easy, completed it in 10-15 minutes, maxed out all the skills and still had 20+ points left over, bought all but one gun (the one assigned to key "6") it just felt short, repetitive, and all in all like a waste of time. Enemies never got "harder" they just got more health. Maybe if they fought back rather than running straight at me it would have been more fun.

2.5/5 due to lack of glitches and being functional; but still being really boring and short.

I recommend playing the first one instead!

Okay this is a cool game on when regarded on it's own, but in context of it's predecessor it's a pretty big letdown. I mean come on, different names and background image and that's it basically. The mechnics, the guns, the enemies, they are all the same.
Actually, while I'm glad that you didn't use the same twist at end, with no substitute you even stripped the game of the bossfight. And since the tree grows automatically in this one it has gotten a lot easier - that's another negative, since I really liked balancing research and growing in the last one. It may have been a plain task that didn't add much but prolong gameplay but it gave a sense of resposibilty for the plant and keep you busy and involved.

For people that haven't played the first one this will be an okay game, however i think it's just a dissapointment.
