Reviews for "Fade: A Crumbling World"

This would have been five stars, if not for that one pesky quibble:
Controls are immensely slippery and dodgy, you simply can't control your jump distance.
That has killed me times than the intended dangers, such as falls and shooters.
Simply not being able to control ones movements precisely doesn't make for good gaming.
Mind, having said that, I like every other aspect of this game.

i dont really get the doors but ok

Storyline: 1.5/5
I liked the game, but I feel it needs a protagonist/antagonist storyline to help me understand what the robot is doing and why he's there. The game doesn't really explain that and it leaves me confused on what's going on. Is the robot a test subject? Or just on an adventure?

Gameplay & Controls: 3/5
As far as gameplay goes, you need to explain the controls better (even though they were pretty easy to understand). On level 2 there are coins in the tight spot and the only way to get them is by crouching, yet when you crouch you move REALLY slowly, so what I'm suggesting is to explain that you have to jump while crouched to get the coins.

Music & Graphics: 4.5/5
I like the music, the graphics... eh. The platforms that you can move through need to 'stand out' more. Example; sometimes I would get lost because the platforms were mixed with the ground. The music is awesome and sort of made the game a little worthwhile.

Overall: 3.5/5
I liked the game overall, despite its rough edges. I was addicted to play it, because it is a platformer (and I like platformers).

Good game, decent enough layout, great music. I recommend this game to people who like good music, and platformers.

Thank you for taking the time to write that review! It really helps me a lot and shows me areas in witch i can improve both this game and future work. Good point about the crouch jump it does become an important part of the gameplay, in the next patch i will address this.

thanks for giving it a play.

Nate.

I found this game to be pretty good. I didn't like it how on one level, it simply seems impossible to beat. I am right in the path of a shooter and I am unable to avoid him. The graphics were also not that much. It was in fact interesting to play a game where you didn't need to collect everything. At least you didn't need to get the medal for that.

Or maybe you do, I haven't played the whole thing. I like how the shooters do not hurt you unless they are actually firing at you. You can't even really touch them. The sounds were decent enough. This was fine for a quick play.

It was actually fine. The controls were tough, I really don't like inertia while jumping, but well... I couldn't reach to the end... I mean, it got stuck, I lost and never revived, and came here to write this.
This isn't new, you should work on that... Create something. I like the visuals.
