Reviews for "Star Glaive"

This is an excellent new, fresh take on the Bullet Hell genre. Graphics were pretty solid, sounds weren't bad, and gameplay was a shining factor, here. I thoroughly enjoyed turning certain weapons loose against their own masters, while others, were quite painful against me. I found certain weapons just irritating to avoid, or try and absorb, because I died nearly every time. While other weapons were simply a joy to turn against the bosses. I appreciate the variety in weapons, and how even if a weapon uses the same bullet as another type, it functions totally different. You did a wonderful job here.

That said... Here's my attempt at a boss to make you pull out your hair in frustration. Have fun: 31050421343181c00710a20b1

This game is really good, it's a fresh take on the genre.
Here's my boss: 73390444123190c20d2

I like your Miserable Beast boss. It's more of a mid-game difficulty rather than a brutal final boss, and it looks like this is by design. The color scheme and single weapon type made it feel really cool. I got smacked in the face by the chevron attack when I tried to scoop up the initial minefield bombs before they came at me, so I was careful to play a little cagier as the match progressed, instead of rushing into everything.

Good game. Its definitely got a different angle on the otherwise monotonous genre. Try this on.. its might seem like a ridiculous barrage but there's a very apparent flaw to be exploited. Mostly shld take just 1 or 2 tries to clear

The Raging Soul -- Took me three tries with keyboard controls, and I felt lucky! Using the highest health setting made this one particularly tough. I don't know that I found the flaw in the pattern, but several of the enemy's attacks are radial-pattern attacks that emit outward... closing in and releasing these right next to the boss maximizes their damage. When I finally beat it, I got "Tenacious!" because I'd been out of time/health for so long without dying to finally lose. It's funny, because in that very moment, my shield had *just* been broken by an intense pummeling, and I might have been moments from death when the boss finally fell!

this game sucks ass, no shooting

Nice to see a fresh take on the bullet hell style.
