Reviews for "George Lucas' Farewell"

Redlettermedia does an excellent job explaining why the prequels didn't work, and why the original trilogy was way better in comparison. Very little of it has to do with nostalgia, or personal taste. The prequels were just badly written, poorly executed movies with high budget visual effects. They stood on the shoulders of the originals, and profited, but they were sloppy. If Phantom Menace was released before startwars existed it would have been a sloppy flop. It's not that Lucas isn't a great film maker, it's that he is a TERRIBLE film maker. Go watch Redtails.

Anyways your animation is nice. I disagree with your message.

very true,i've seen all these fans (40 & + year old virgins) making these complaints and telling how they would do it.the only thing i had to say is use your ideas and make something of it, and someday you'll be bigger than lucas.

Actually, Lucas doesn't have a point. He didn't singlehandedly create Star Wars Episode IV-VI. He had the initial idea, but he was only one of many who developed the characters, story, etc.

The problem is that Lucas doesn't understand Star Wars and it's general appeal. And concerning "I can't make you 7 anymore!", well, the original triology wasn't directed at 7 year old either, so why should the prequels be? And if it's for 7 year olds, why is Episode III so fucking dark.

I'm no good at explaining why Lucas has no clue, but if you want to know, just watch the Plinkett reviews at Redlettermedia.

The animation was neat. I hope the content was slightly ironic.

George Lucas is such a dick, but he does have a point.

Oh yes, I'm with George on this one.
Well done, and probably rather spot on what ol' George would have said, if he wasn't being a polite human being.
