But Rhydon is technically the first pokemon, since he was the first inserted into the game, making him literally the first pokemon created :D
Just want to point out to yu-ultidragon that missingno isn't a first gen pokemon because it isn't one at all. Missigno is essentially data storage for pokemon and their events. It's not something meant to be accessible and therefore not any kind of pokemon whatsoever. Or, more accurately, it's every pokemon in the games it can be found in as well as everything they do.
