Reviews for "Katawa Shoujo Lite"

FLIPPING KENJI MAN!!!! WHY WOULD IT BE KENJI?! XD Still pretty good game overall i guess :P

Only thing I have to say about this game:
"Oh Gawd, mah drills. "

Well made overall. Fun theme. Gameplay works well.

Is it normal to get damaged on contact with ennemy, when we do the slide attack? makes it completely useless. I dont mind getting delayed or slowed down as i go back up from doing one (making spamming it not an option), but getting damaged when i attack? Hell no.

And the difficulty is real high, even at the "low" settings, ennemy placement and design is just evil.

I suppose its a nice nod to the old castlevanias, never played them. And if this one is any indication, i don't have the patience to grind/fight my way through it.

All in all, good job, even if it wasnt my favorite kind of game.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

sliding is meant for dodging, it's not really an attack. Use it as an evasive maneuver or something. The kicking damage is just an added bonus, you can skillfully deflect projectiles or kill off small enemies if you slide at the right moment.

The game suffers bad glitches in the start of each level and the beginning of the game where we skip the story and then begins with no character on screen and the enemies dont even bother dont the player and you can press the attacks but you only hear the sound effects and background music.
other than the complaint great music and character designs. but the controls are not synchronized at all very well.

Great game, an awesome tribute to both Katawa and Castlevania.
The only reason it won't my 5 stars is because of two problems:
-The controls are sluggish and slow, making it hard to react to enemies.
-Lamposts at the beginning and some candles are nearly impossible to reach, making them useless, i didn't see the point of them being there (also, hearts are important, so not reaching them to get more hearts makes the game frustrating).
