Reviews for "Hood Episode 4"

As I am a person who can not do well with point and click adventure games, I didn't care much for this. I will say that I was impressed by how good the artwork was. I am so proud of myself for being able to get past the first obstacle! That's not much, but I would have gone nuts if I hadn't have done that. The details of the creatures are really good.

It just gets a bit too talky with those you come in contact with. I didn't have the time to read everything they said. Anyway, for people who are fans of these kinds of games, you should not be disappointed. The way the colorization makes it look old is neat. I was hoping there'd be a medal for just getting past the first part.

I like the Hood series but the puzzles in this game leave you guessing randomly and it takes awhile to figure it out.

I have NO idea how to get past the first part, honestly. I can't give an accurate review because I obviously can't play the rest of the game, haha...

I really thought the last in the series would be better.

- The puzzles weren't great, some "clues" were rather misleading (e.g. "like a platform-game-character-with-glide to soil" would have worked better, it was actually a disappointment that the rest of the diagram was filler).
- The game was very short.
- The main story came to an abrupt end via cut scene.
- Little in the way of characters this time. It was also a little bit anti-climactic that mouth-dude really just says "yes, go do what you were going to".
- Very little on the WORLD in this one. All the other games taught us about these lands and this one... We're in the spirit realm, I was expecting a little more! "Pretty much the same as everything you've seen before" is a little underwhelming after 3 games to get there.
- The medals... Well, the medals are fine.*
- Art's still good.
- Mr Pumpkin was a nice touch.

It's not terrible but it's certainly not the best in the series. Pity. Ah well, I still look forward to more games from you...

* TIPS: For the second medal look for a situation where someone might instruct you to "use the shovel", then act like you missed any sense of urgency.

A very good game, little less scary that Episode 3, but sustains the story until the end. Maybe I would prefer less reading, after all, every second counts when it comes to save the world, isn't? I'm a little dissapointed because I couldn't get the Use the shovel man!medal even when I literally dig every part of the game and found many objects. Neither the Hnest medal, even choosing a different answer and actions. That's it, not a bad game at all.
