Reviews for "Mecha Arena"
Nice to see this made it to Newgrounds! I thought it was a really fun game, with solid graphics, and well-balanced weapons. However, it lacks certain features that I think many people would have found useful. Simple stuff like the game remembering your targeting preferences, or not making players wait/train/wait/freebattle in between tournaments/tournament rounds.
I'm not going to say much, because the reviews will pour in soon, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback there.

gfx - 8 (very good retro-style)
sfx - 9 (exciting, well-composed techno)
design - 8 (tenacious but may lack features)
gameplay - 7.5 (may get pretty repetitive)
overall, this is an excellent, quality title that deserves to win awards in many different areas. Would have liked to see more varied mech-designs, however.
It reminds me a little of Monster Rancher
