Reviews for "Toons These Days: Ep 11"

I certainly will miss the original VA for Doggy as he definitely made the character. The temp did a good job, but unfortunately it kinda took away the disgruntleness of the character and made him seem 'mildly upset'. The animation is still top notch as always.

I look forward to the next episode with the new VA (this is by no means saying the temp was horrible, just that the voice didn't fit).

Heh heh, hit the nail on the head once again.

And Brandoni, it's for teh lulz. It's not pointless if it's supposed to make people laugh.

I don't think the voice is bad, but if the actor voiced this character before, why didn't he use the voice from before? Anyway, I'm surprised no one's commenting on the obvious Nostalgia Critic reference you put in, you crazy dude. XD Can't wait for the next 'toon!

I agree to an extent, it doesn't seem to really be geared towards younger children. It seems like all the cartoon rackets have caught wind that the 16-21+ year old age groups have become more interested in cartoons so they have more mature oriented content and humor. Not blatantly inappropriate (sometimes) but I doubt a 10 year old would get all the jokes and references. I have noticed a very similar style of scripting and animation in shows like gravity falls, the marvelous misadventures of flapjack, the regular show and adventure time, although thankfully they all take their own approach and direction so it doesn't become repetitive.

N... Nostalgia Critic reference...? *Wail*. Sorry, sorry. I'm still getting over the fact that he's gone for good. Anyways, I've heard very little about this show, I've only heard of the title. Sounds like this is a show geared towards a more mature audience, advertised as a kids show for whatever reason. To look at the animation of this movie in particular, it was nice, minimal but fluid as per usual. Its a shame that the VA isn't coming back, he had the perfect voice for Doggy D. Dachshund. Keep up the great work, this is an excellent little series!
