Reviews for "Flash Bash"

it was okay, i think you focused too much on the art. itd be great if the gameplay was more fluid

I felt like this game could have been better but for what it is its a decent game worth an look over about 30mins of gameplay.

this game does seem like it was well thought out, but there are unfortunately plenty of problems I've found with this game.
one problem was that the characters tend to be either over or under powered Inglor being one of the overpowered, Amea being under powered
i liked Inglor back in his game so naturally he was the first i chose, but almost instantly i realized that his moves (Especially his grabs) are way to overpowered. something that normally could be easily avoided in most games with long and difficult commands or slow start up. Inglor had neither and i was able to get through hard difficulty way too easily. fighting him was worse, the AI would constantly spam his pile driver, abusing his invincibility frames and even grabbing me out of the air at the peak of my jump (with a piledriver, not a headbutt). perhaps if there was a slight delay before he charges where he is vulnerable and maybe a slightly more obvious "gonna grab you" animation
would help.
Amea was no better. While her AI did allow her to use most if not all her attacks, both the computer and the player usually end up spamming self freeze and fireball to keep the enemy at bay. (Dragon boy also has a tendency to abuse the fireball move which wouldnt be a problem, if the delay effected the boy as well.) at the very least give her some descent fighting moves that dont rely on a combo to work (algol cant do shit in the Air. Have Amea yell his name with a loud roar with a large delay to give the opponent the time to wake up and jump, but at least lower him down a notch.)
this game has the potential to be a badass game, it just needs some major tweaks

Interesting game, we've been testing this over at the Shoryuken.com forums and we're enjoying how exploitable the engine seems to be. We've already found some useable tech and glitches that allow certain characters to do amazing things (Dan combo extend glitch, Luemas teleport mixups, the "Amea trap").

That said, we find that the input system needs work. Specifically, there doesn't seem to be any form of input priority to keep the wrong moves from coming out at the wrong times. Also, the window to do certain moves seems to be too wide and supers will sometimes accidentally come out when tryingo to do two moves in a row.

a fair game. slow but other than that not too bad
