Reviews for "Viaduct Designer"

Anyone saw Mario in the tunnel at the 4 level?

I really love the graphics behind it, but the physics of it seem way off.

It's funny how you picked a railroad theme, because this game is terribly so: you did not bother one bit with physics or common sense and actually punish people for trying to build a correct bridge. The beams and tracks seem to change from steel to lead, to driftwood and to soggy spaghetti the more you deviate from the 'correct' answer. A triangular support will work in one gap and fall apart under it's own weight on the next, without any rhyme or reason but to humble us ignorant players who dared be creative. It's an all or nothing fest of shameful proportions, and you sir, should be ashamed of having posted this.

I'm further baffled by this cute-looking pile of annoyance making the front page.

there doesnt seem to be any way to make it besides the one in the walkthrough every bridge that in reality should hold up even if you put three times the weight on it fails miserably. it tells you what would break so you reinforce it and it still fails without a doubt. i got frustrated so much from having to do one level with every possible combination that i just finally said "screw it" and just did exactly what the walkthrough said just so i could complete the game and never play it again. this may be a bit harsh with the score and the review but the game deserves it.

Less than mediocre.

I have a lot of the same complaints as InfinityDragon.
Cheaply "implied" physics engine where you build bridges, and yet even using trapezoids and triangles seems little to do with any good effect. I seem to not understand the legit way to make things yet it clearly should hold. Your tutorial was quick, and well, it lacks helpfulness. It's rather a rushed project more than anything, Hell even if you could call the same graphics and such a "project".

The pieces you use feel solid and durable, giving a feeling (even if false) that one may establish a proper bridge. Now the steampunk theme was okay, I give no negatives or positives as that is just regular boring steampunkish feel I've "never" felt before. I disagree with the colors because they feel blended, bland, to a point where even the animals on the "track" seem like they blend with the background slightly. Music was a repetitive loop which needless to say, was just dull even without the same notes playing again, and again.

I think that these fields need work, revision, et cetera.

Something I do defend, however, is your ads. Your ads actually were not that obnoxious. And fact is: ads are a good thing whether people want to say so or not. And it isn't like the "ads" are jumping out of the screen and eating your face off.

'Nuff said, I believe this game was borish; but it certainly has appeal to particular crowds, and so I salute you for your work.

1.5/5.
