Reviews for "GRAVNAV"

Cool concept, but the controls are bad. the movement is so delayed it makes the game impossible to play for more that a few seconds at a time. Also the camera flip is too sudden, and disorientating. Is there any way you can put a couple of frames of rotation to blend it some?

Was a little hard to grasp at first, and I kept trying to turn my head sideways. Needs improvement.

Openings in the wall are a bit too narrow given the tightness of the controls

I'd like to point out that the instructions are misleading. The source of gravity relative to the character is constant; the only shift is in perspective. My first play, I expected to have to deal with the gravity shifting to match the arrow, which would have had totally different consequences from a perspective shift.

Very simplistic

Music: fits the space setting well but unfortunately very annoying. The song needs to be in the background and soothes the player while he tries to get a good score but this feels like foreground music (too noticeable).
Graphics: I personally felt that this game wasn't acceptable with graphics as it is too simplistic. even though it is part of the pixel genre I believe you could have added more detail in the background than just stars. It all looks like you have chosen the easiest way to put it together. Add some random planets, shooting stars debris etc. but nothing too eye catching for the player.
Controls/handling: can't really complain here as this adds to the difficulty and skill of mastering it.
Difficulty: Here is where you have gone wrong. The first obstacle seems like it can be the same difficulty as all the others that follow and the gravity and blocks do their own random changes by themselves. This can be fine but you need to give a slight "breather" in the beginning... let the player get used to the fluidness of the flight and pass through an obstacle or two then kick into the gravity changes especially for a player who is playing this for the first time. This will let the player calm down after each run a small bit and get ready for the next as most players will fail a run, try again, fail on the first obstacle, repeat a few times then get pissed of with the game either leaving a harsh review or never playing again.

This game isn't really bringing anything new. If I'm not mistaken I've seen this done before but pulled off better or just have played too many auto-run and gravity changing games to differentiate between them but don't get me wrong it's a good concept but I feel so much more could be put into this.

2.5 stars. so much potential is in this game.
