I was a bit worried about that scene(if you mean the up close in the humvee scene)... if people would understand what was going on. I was gonna blur the background every time he made a big rotation but flash slowed down like crazy so I skipped that hehe.
Wow! That was amazing. The characters were amazing. Did you handpiant the characters first? It looked like it. The background looked to happy and fake in some scenes but I dealt with it. Also when the guy is smoking is eyes seems odd compared to the rest of his face. I would've loved to have seen a scene with a sniper but oh well.

I painted the characters and everything else in photoshop with my wacom tablet.
I agree with the backgrounds being too "happy". I wanted to capture the Iraq/ Afghanistan feel, but yes some of the backgrounds didn't really look like "warzones" hehe.
The face scene was tricky. It probably took me two hours to paint the face and I knew it was going to look very stiff when the eyes moved around. I think thats why it looks a bit funny, just becasue nothing else is moving but the eyes.
I definitely had a sniper scene in mind but I got to tired of making/ animating this "movie". At the end I just wanted to finish it and move on.
Holy shit, this animation was amazing! There was so much detail in the pictures and it looked GREAT. The final shot of the guy smoking the cigarette was great! It gave me a sense of being on break at a job. It was so badass. I very much like the shot before that of the soldier inside of the humvee simply because of the detail in the rotating bolts. The action in this was very fast paced and this made made the movie to watch. Although war isn't supposed to be entertaining, it is still interesting to observe. You beautifully portrayed "war footage" with the use of Photoshop and Flash, which is so awesome to see the two programs work together like this. I liked this movie a lot as it shows the power of both programs and what you can do with the two of them. It's fucking genius and you sir, have a spectacular movie here.

I'm glad you liked the "guy smoking" scene at the end, it's probably my favorite scene hehe! Just like you said; break at the job... then big explosion close by... back to work I guess hehe!
I don't know if people combine photoshop and flash too much, but I hope this inspire some people to try it out. The only negative thing I can say about this combination is that flash can get a little bit slow at times.
