Beautiful

I read in one of your resposes to a review to someone that your looking for the ultimate song...That was Beautiful, I loved every moment of it, i even downloaded it.
If you've ever played Final Fantasy 10, throughout the game they had a hymn that eveyone in the world knew. This reminded me of that hymn, if you haven't played it you have to give it a try to see what i'm talking about.

MaestroRage responds:

I have played FF10, that hymn is one of my favourite things to listen to. That and Returning To Zanarkand. That song is just so moving.

I am glad you liked the song, it is one of my personal favourites. It is more free, and more unrefined then the others, which in my eyes, gave it more character.

Thanks for the review ^^.

almost Wagnerian

this is very good peice but it is missing some thing.......
ah ha, i got it!
it is very similar to Wagner's earliest works.
but simpler.
the whole song is like a great big intro to what would then a large male dominant piece.
smooth, and just a hint of hard.
i expect to hear this in a final fantasy game.
now if you could just get real instruments and people to do it it would have the restrained power it needs.
very moving, it gave me chills.

MaestroRage responds:

Wagner you say eh? I am not familiar with that name, i'll look him up right away and see what he's about. If he is a better version then me, for sure I can learn a great deal from his pieces. Thanks for pointing him out.

I'm glad you think this is usable in a final fantasy game, I try to make all my tracks game oriented.

As for real instruemnts, where to find so many, with such a variation ;). I don't even know if you could have an orchestra, a panflute, and strings in the same room and have it all work out.

Thanks for the review ^^.

excellent work!

I would have to say this is one of my favorites out of your work

MaestroRage responds:

I would have to agree ^^. The first four tracks on my list are my personal favorites, for each have a rather deep sentimental value to me. I am glad you found one of these four to be your favorite as well!

Thank you for the review! I am glad you liked the piece.

Nice!

Now its the first time I review your music and probably not the last time. The begining didn't make me sad, well it felt peacefull but sad. It was like if someone died peacefully. I don't really know what a peacefull death could be (im gonna have to think of what it could be in my school bus thinking of the girl i love cuz shes in my bus ^^ ). Lol, saying that last thing I said maybe a peacefull end would be a guy who dies beside his beloved one or something like that, cuz you know when someone dies its sad but maybe... anyway you get the point. So ummm back to the music, its really touching, in the sense like its either the begining of something very important or the end of something important (the begining and end of stuff look alike cuz you know, you were born dust and you will die dust... or end dust... anyway I speak french so i don't know if that proverb (i hope thats the right term) exists in english and if so i hope i said it correctly. If u didn't understand me quite well its not so bad cuz its the intention that counts (omfg another expresssion that i dont know if it exists in english =/ )

Anyways keep up the perfect work!

p.s: I downloaded ALL of your musics and put them on my mp3 ^^)

MaestroRage responds:

I understood you perfectly Alex-J :). The proverb I believe is "We come from dust, we will return to dust", and it's a very true statement. A "truth of the world" if you will ;).

I did not consider the image of dying close to somebody you love, a gentle, accepting suffering.

A brilliant image...

Thank you for the review and image Alex-J. I am glad you liked this music, that is why they are here ^^.

Beautiful.

This song presents an unfolding of events to me.

A man is wandering through nothingness, absorbed in his own self image, he sees not the beauty around him. He is thrust into the real world, without warning nor preparation. He wanders around lost, not knowing what to do, nobody looks at him, nobody sees him. He trips and falls, and a hand reaches down to help him up, it's a little girl, he takes her hand and stands up, she smiles and tells him that he's very handsome. The man turns into a boy again, and is given another chance, he takes the girls hand and walks back into the world, this time with a better attitude.

This song practically screams redemption, I find it one of your best, although that's hard to say, seeing as how all of yours are brilliant. Ten out of ten.

-Raseon

MaestroRage responds:

Redemption... it is a feeling i've wanted to portray with perfection for a long time. There are many ways, countless ways to do it, some more effective then others, and some that just don't work period. I am glad you have found that feeling in this song, for that was one of the traits I wanted to give it.

Concerning the story, I find it quite interesting, and it flows well with the song. Not everybody is given a second chance, I hope he found a better existence. Silly of me to be talking like that, but I like to live in the world of these stories, and sometimes I just can't make an ending.

Thank you for that, and the review, i'm glad you liked it! Thank you for your ongoing support, it means a lot to me!
