Reviews for "Running Warrior"

This game needs check points. Aside from that solid fun little platformer.

Its fun but there are some few things that are annoying. You should have made it able to change jobs in menu screen after you unlock them. I also didn't like how picking up an item with 3 will replace one. Often I would lose potions because a chest had a herb in it. I also have a problem with the Feather Fall item and the priests passive. Every time I would fall into a pit it would fly me up only to drop me into the next pit without any chance of doing something. There should also be checkpoints (maybe unlock them with a huge amount of gold I.E. 2000g per checkpoint). After playing with every job for a while I find that the priest is by far the best. With tons of money and nothing to spend it on I could just spam the heal as much as I want and never run out of Stamina. The only item that I would grab at shops was meat since healing and money was unneeded and the bombs are pretty much useless since you cant choose when they go off. The only item that I would rather pick was the feather but either it would be replaced by another item before I could use it or when used it would just drop me into the next pit.

Either than that its a fun game. I like how you can upgrade every job and the rail jumping.

The game has an interesting concept, but is far too difficult. There is no left/right control, so if you jump a half second too early or too late, it's checkmate. I eventually got 2 feathers as priest, but I couldn't avoid the pits enough times. For a game without horizontal control, jumping must be easier, or penalties for falling needs to be less.

Starting the game over after each death is infuriating, but can be mitigated if the game is either short or easy. However, it's neither, as reaching the end requires at least a good 5+mins.

You might also want to consider procedurally generating your levels as many similar games do. It would increase replayability by a lot.

There's also an uncommon bug where you lose all ability to control yourself. It usually occurs when you recover from the wizard's screen flipping ability.

It's not a bad game, but I can't rate it higher if it's unbeatable (or nearly so).

way repetitive, and i don't like the mandatory updates, but kind of fun.

Good game, but with a lot of flaws:
The good:
+ Concept: Good, not original but decent execution
+ Graphics: Nice and clean.
+ Difficulty: Challenging! Although sometimes unfair (failing angel feather)

The bad:
- Speed: Should be a bit faster, maybe let you choose a speed (difficulty level)?
- Running: too short and using same key as attack is troublesome. Sometimes it executes two attacks when i want tot run and othertimes it executes run when I want two attacks.
- Shop: Annoying that I have to use mouse for this and it leaves the cursor in the middle of screen. Also when I have three decent items and store has only junk, it forces me to sell one of my items anyway.
- Angel feather: Often drops you in the next pit. Crap!
- Jumping: kinda annoying that you cannot control the height, makes the trees area too frustrating.
- Stepping down: Often won't register.
- Different characters: Would be good if there was more diversity and you actually needed the different classes for different areas, now I just use priest for stamina spell
- Author doesn't respond to comments at all, does he read them?
