cute! But the door painting looked like characters from a book I read

Very impressive! The animation is stellar and beyond the standard of a TV children's show. The lightings and shadows were great and the character designs may have been a little unoriginal and maybe not detailed enough, but even then this is just Newgrounds, and just for that this deserves 15/10!

Even with barely any voices this was great. No voices needed to be said. But the only thing that seemed to be missed was that the kid painted that room. He wasn't shown painting or drawing and you become unaware of who did it. I thought at first that it was just wallpaper and she was amazed by it. I was like, "Oh, well...good for you?" I soon realized it was the kid, but you have to convey these things to us. That's not worthy of a drop off of a point, though. Just a mistake, and although a very large one (it cancels out the feel-good and moment-of-awe, which I can tell are very big things in this animation), everything else just very well makes up for it.

The facial expressions and body language were absolutely, in the best way I can put it, Pixar. You knew what both the kids were thinking the whole time and just from the beginning, too. The boy resting his head on his hand, the girl looking at him and then rolling her eyes like, "Oh, not THIS guy again..." You know from that that this has probably happened before, and from the boy's longing, annoyed/jealous face you can tell he wants to join them, and has wanted to for a long time. Just from the first 30 seconds you know what's going on...without voices! Incredible, just absolutely incredible.

Textures were magnificent. I could see every light, shadow, and imprint in the football (and from looking at a football up close before, the texture is VERY accurate), and every thread in the girl's jeans. Just wow.

Every eye flicker and every facial expression. I can't say enough all in one review! Even the voice acting was movie-like! Though I do suggest, however, to work on the muffling sound...when the mother and the girl were speaking, it didn't sound like it was coming from downstairs, but from the next room over. You should've muffled it more and made it a bit quieter.

Camera work was also superb. The way it spun around the room slowly and went to a new scene were perfect. Movie-like.

Now, the only other problem from the other two or so I've stated are the characters designs. The facial features didn't really express their personalities and the hair seemed like Play-do. The hair definitely needed texture and it definitely needed to be able to move. From that alone, it would've made it look like Pixar. The faces just seemed too..."anime", if you know what I mean. The eyes were absurdly large, which can be good but they were TOO large. I understand you were aiming for neoteny, but perhaps put more emphasis on the noses, lips, and eyebrows. Just the eyes seemed out of place, for the most part.

That's all I got to say! Fantastic besides the things I mentioned. Near perfection! I do hope to see this kind of animation in a movie one day. Keep at it!

I haven't seen 3d animations on newgrounds for MONTHS! Great job!

Damn... this was beautiful. A touching story (I love the end) and incredibly well done. This whole thing is definately professional grade work!

I have to say this is the one of the most well exectued short films in any production sense i've seen on this site. Many thanks for the opportunity to see it.
