Animation was superb, voice acting was on par, and graphics were great overall. This is pretty good for a 3D movie. The only problem was the script. It was very similar to the beginning sequences of Up wherein the protagonist meets a person of the opposite sex who appears to have similar interests as him. Even up to the awkwardness of the protagonist seems like it was derived from Up. The storyline could surely use some work and improvement, and a tinge of originality, instead of having the same girl-sees-interesting-boy-and-they-fa ll-in-love or whatever. The film is great on its own but it would be superb with a similarly good script.
