Reviews for "IWBTG - Pokieman land"

Nice game, but i think you should work at the chat. The music is genius!
PS: That the f***k should zzthat be with zapdos????

Hey, man! It's the guy who wrote the opening song! Thanks for using it :D

This game looks good, but boy is it difficult. Not the good kind of difficult, either. A game should have some form of logic to the way objects maneuver. A Typhlosion falling through the ceiling is just random. The only way someone could ever know most of the game's event is if the player had already died multiple times through trial and error. If you intended the game to be unfairly difficult, then you did well! I've spent a half an hour on Noob Route, and the flying shiny Magikarps (?) are still kicking my ass.

Great job, though, on putting the game together. People with better tempers than myself will enjoy this game adn play it to the end. Good luck on future projects as well. I'm always open for writing and arranging music :)

Hey mate! Thanks you for your music! you really rocks, i wanted to chose some of you others song but due of the space (mb), it's quite hard to add much songs (i have to find out).
Agree, i intended to make a tribute of IWBTG series that are known for extremely no brain difficult :)
I hope in the future to make a better game with some long gameplay and gradually difficult increase, and of course, if you want, one of yor music :) i enjoyed that much specially for the pokemon ones remixes :D

Decent game but very tough - any walkthrough?

Always a fan of IWBTG type games, but theres a number of issues I've observed so far.

First off, if you go to full screen mode, it seems you can't jump/retry anymore, plus the right click options go to normal flash right click options instead of giving the other options.

Second, tutorial complete and the meowth achievement (take my money or something like that) are also failing to unlock. They're unlocked in the in-game achievements, but not as far as NG ones, and revisiting the achievement screen doesn't seem to help unlock them.

Third, with regards to the meowth achievement, it's terribly unfair, and not in a good way. Meowths spawn in a random direction with a random speed, as well as having random coin spawns, meaning it comes down to luck more then skill. I don't mind if it's 'unfair' as in needing pixel perfect play, but unfair in the sense of relying on luck is just frustrating.

The first time I went to the stage with magikarps, things glitched out and each magikarp was duplicated a ton of times, resulting in 3 impassable walls of death anda ton of lag. The second time I went there that didn't happen, but it was a bit concerning.

The controls I've found wern't always perfectly responsive, which can be rather bothersome in this sort of game, particularly where save points are spread out somewhat.

I haven't had a chance to check if saving somewhere can allow you to stop playing and resume at that same save point, or if they're really just temperary checkpoints good for a single session, but I suspect the latter. When I went off to meowth land, I know I was forced to start the actual route from scratch again, rather then the first save prior, so that was slightly annoying (although to be fair it isn't that difficult to get to that point).

It's possible some of the above things are related to lag on my end, but it perhaps something to look in to, particularly if you hear any similar reports (I see some people have reported 'glitches' whcih I'm sure is very helpful).

Finally a costructive review!
First of all thanks for the feedback. I'm not an expert programmer and this is my seconds game i ever made, my main objective was to have more improvement then the IWBTG - Prologue (the other game i made).
I'm going to respond you:
About the full-screen mode i really have no idea about this working, stencyl software don't have commads about it :(.
Now medals should work at 100% when you go in the main menù (unlock if "achievement name > 1 previous was only = 1).
Oh magikarps revenge!! ahahahah really? I don't know why since when you reach a determinate "region" it will create 3 spawn point, really strange.
Controls, yeah right... i tried to done the best, they obviously are not perfect due to not perfect response or the lags but it should at least "playable".
You can resume your previous game only on noob route (if you leave noob route and then you re-enter in it you resume the previous game, only in this chase), well actually making a checkpoint system is hard as hell.

why doesent impossible and timed mode work? and i couldnt figure out that jigglypuff medal. the mario part is pretty easy you can jump on the platform mario is standing on after he disappears and you'll shrink and the best tactic i had for the meowth part was to collect coins up to 15 and then dodge in the lower left hand corner until enough coins spawn that i can just collect them and get 30.
