Well, it's almost impossible to play on a QWERTZ-keyboard (except you like to break your fingers).
Why not put jump on the up arrow and use X and C for shooting and grenade?
And the enemys come in much to fast. You could add hovering blocks, that last e.g. for 30 seconds, which you can jump onto and take a breath whilst cleaning up a bit with grenades.

I'm sorry, I was under the assumption everyone used QWERTY, never knew the QWERTZ keyboard existed. I'll add keybindings.
I intend to redo the jumping(make it faster so your not in the air vunerable while squishing goombas) and add the ability to rebind keys..
I'll try to see if I can tweak the AI but i'll leave that for later when I make the character more dynamic to use, I have considered hovering blocks and even scripted them but never implemented them due to the ability to just spam grenades with no consequence...I might make the hovering blocks dissapear after standing on them for too long and then just add z+down while would make you shoot directly down and fall really slowly or something along the lines.

Sure, expand it but don't use the name Metal Slug and the graphics from the game, make something original.
This is metal slug...this game has no likeness to the other metal slug games I have played. Too many creatures, you die too fast.
