Do not present the option of choice if the choice doesn't actually matter. If one character was going to die no matter what don't pretend like you could save them. Often times you would have "2" or more choices and both would give the same results. That's pointless. If you do another game like this, as much work as it will be to have branching paths you have to have other choices and it has to all funnel into another choice. There should never be a "wrong" choice so much as there will be reactions for a choice and no matter what the choice is there should be some kind of reward for the actions.
