This does not bring anything new; it's pretty much Zelda. The first difference, however, is the story: a ninja goes to a deserted island to... do something which I found funny, thus catching my attention quickly. I then proceeded to explore, discovering a challenge so difficult my first impulse, I confess, was to vote low out of frustration... But the next day I got back and figured that being perfectionist is not a good approach: sometimes, the best is to rush through the screens one has already completed. Only when I did that I found the wonders of this cursed island: diversity of lands - like forest, desert, snow with slippery floor included - helpful indian NPCs, tricky puzzles which test both my wit and reflexes and the dark ... bonus world.
Moving on, graphics are rather nice, although sometimes seem to lack contrast with background (e.g. indians in the desert). Controls are actually pretty good and mastering gameplay is quite satisfying. Now, on one hand, I think I'd rather use the sword to slash rather than poke so as to avoid frustration; on the other hand, the way, poking seems to add to the fun challenge. Oh, and the dashing attack is neat. Personal tip: I find it more useful as an evasive move than offensive move.
Not all games strongly compell me to write reviews. This one did, since it was such a remarkable experience - not because it was geniously inovative, but becaused it combined an old concept with fresh genious designing. Here I am, after getting all medals and my mind is blown. WOOHOO!
