Rickzig i found 2 solutions to that problem...
i had the same problem with enemies like that so i experimented a little and found 2 ways around it
1. use the same tactic against them a character with loads of defense and a good shield with counter
2. use Net and wait for their turn to pass this makes them drop their shield then use an accurate character and wail on em!

Love the game. Beat it at lvl 42 which I am happy with. My only question is what is meant by... Win a combat without losing a gladiator? I have a team of three and have fought a team of three and have kept all six alive numerous times, and yet, no goal. This brings up my suggestion... maybe be a guide to the Goals, or at least an explanation. 5/5
