Reviews for "Pico's Mission"

3 stars

Art/Animation - The art was pretty decent, and the animation was nicely fluid. Some areas of the game could have more detail, I'd say.
Gameplay - Playing the game was a bit monotonous, every stage was pretty much the same. Could use more variety, more guns and whatnot. Another problem was the enemies swarmed around you, and there was practically no way to evade them, or kill them quickly.
Overall - In conclusion, there were a lot of minor problems that built up to ultimately create many problems. No restart button, swarming enemies, a few art problems and no upgrades or other weapons. Fixing those would improved the game a lot. However, I like the concept of this game, and hopefully you can make it into its full potential!

Intrapath responds:

Thanks for the review! As for the variety, you do have a point. And for the swarming, I agree there too, we're gonna try to make Pico move a little faster to add more maneuverability for monday's update. The restart button is a problem too. What art problems were there? Please PM if there's a glitch we overlooked :)

that things into the school are zombies or emos?

Intrapath responds:

Emos. :P

It was okay, The art was pretty re
Some things i was hoping you could improve or fix
Some different guns
Make the Mobs spawn less fast in later levels (so its not impossible) my opinion
Make another attack(or weapon that knocks them back so you can not get horded and instantly lose
Make Pico able to avoid the mobs without them easily outrunning him
Make some buttons for the start if you want
Clearly the replay button cause i wanna try again
try to make it so the backgrounds don't directly clash with the bullet colors like on the high school level
Make the emos attacks a little slower and not kick 400 times per second it seems
Fix the werewolf level i kill like quite a few at the start but for 5/9 of it I'm just waiting for the next level with nothing spawning
The background art could use a bit of work on some levels but that really wasn't that noticeable.
Make enemy Dodgeable if they are by them self or in small groups ( Emos kick you 3 times if you run by them)
Oh and how many levels are there and are there boss fights because boss fights would be cool. But sadly I couldn't get past the super high school level.

Intrapath responds:

The update just uploaded should address a huge number of those concerns. :) tip- if you see an incoming wave you won't be able to take on all at once, start moving up and down! The wave will cluster together into one big meatbag of bullets! (and there is a boss fight, the update for that should be soon, not sure when, Andy has been busy)

i sorta liked it but maybe you could work on a different AI because you can play the whole game literaly without the top and bottom keys i just pressed left to right the whole thing and maybe wepon pickups because the pistol suked on the emos and after a while my hand started to hurt from constantly pushing space bar hope this helped :D

Intrapath responds:

Thanks! For the moving up and down part, that sorta has them line up in case you're afraid of being swarmed. Weapon pick-ups were discussed a lot in reviews and we even agreed to put in weapons if development gave the time, but sadly we didn't :(

This is boring, nice graphic, animation too. But:
Monotonous
Crap enemies
No blood
No gunz(?)

Fix this please! (And add some swords!)

Intrapath responds:

I suppose it is a little repetitive. Some stuff will be added tomorrow or some time soon after that, so I hope that pleases you. Funny you should mention guns, lots of other reviewers wanted that; we were thinking about it from the start but decided to add multiple guns in if we had time, which we did not end up having. I also am not sure how willing Andy is to support the game post-release after tomorrow (or soon after)'s update; we worked really hard on this, and he's in college, so he has that to focus on too.
