What's the point of purchasing gun powerups if it still takes the same # of shots to defeat each FBI black car?

It doesn't take the same amount of shots. I just did some simple math and when you have no upgrades it takes 12 hits to kill an FBI car, after the first it takes 10 then after the 2nd damage upgrade it takes 8. The other gun upgrades also increase how fast you can fire, so it's not all about "how many shots it takes" but "how long it takes to kill them".
I don't really like the idea of shooting only from behind. The ability to shoot in all directions needed.
When I'm at the bottom of the screen and getting shot at, I cannot avoid that shot if i go up. The problem is that some enemies can't get to the bottom of the screen. I don't know, maybe it is intended to be like this, but in games like this there should be a chance to avoid all the shot fired at you, if you're fast enough.
This is beautiful. You stayed true to the spirit of Alien Hominid and I would enjoy playing this even if you had come up with entirely different characters to feature. Definitely an instant classic. Thank you for making this.
