This 'Fail' series is like some sort of weird hybrid of Ego's 'Awesome' series and a bunch of other shit that is popular on sites like this. Whilst the Awesome series itself isn't completely amazing, at least Egoraptor knows how to time a joke and throws some interesting spins on typical observations.
In 'Minecraft Fail', the plot basically boils down to 'man builds house, creeper attacks, creeper is raped by man' in a flash that will be offensive to two groups. Group one is those sensitive to the whole rape subject. I can handle rape humor but it is extremely overdone and basically just done for shock points. Group 2 is those who actually appreciate things with timing and good writing. I'm in the latter, obviously.
Know how I summed up the plot in that last paragraph? What does that REALLY have to do with Minecraft? I wasn't the biggest fan of 'Derpcraft', but at least it poked fun at the actual game like a parody is meant to. You could take your movie and apply it to anything. Mario builds a house and rapes a Goomba. Goku builds a house and rapes Perfect Cell. Sonic builds a house and rapes Eggman. Tom Clancy builds a house and rapes that guy from Splinter Cell. Hey there you go, I just wrote four more flash movies for you to animate.
I think you need a couple lessons in context and story. You basically threw most of the dumb faces in for no reason when they should be used sparingly. People liked the 'shock face' that Egoraptor used in Awesome Center because it came out of nowhere and MORE IMPORTANTLY, actually had something to do with the situation.
There isn't much more to say. It's a gigantic, disgusting concoction of stupid overdone reaction faces, garish colors, screaming, yelling, and all that crap. It's like something my 13 year old Reddit browsing brother would find funny. It almost feels like a factory product that ticks all the 'boxes' of internet humor and has absolutely nothing unique to offer.
To end the review on a lighter note, your art is good. But a good looking flash doesn't stop it from being awful. It's pretty sad to see a kid with a lot of potential make these run of the mill tryhard game parodies to be completely honest. Is this 'Fail' series REALLY something you want to make, or is it just something done for views and ad rev? You've teamed up with that guy who does DBZ parodies a couple of times, why not get him to script and plan things out for you? At least his stuff isn't just mindless violence and rape jokes.
