Reviews for "Lone Survivor Demo"

horrible response time from the game, very basic, not too fun, 10$ you gotta be kidding me, try going for free and putting adds on it, you'll get a hell of a lot more

Silent Hill mixed in with a bit of I Am Legend much? At least that was my initial reaction. There are similarities, such as the pocket flashlight, the monster, the sound effects, the mirror, and that's just the start. I wouldve gone more into the game, however, I believe there is a glitch. Progression of the game just froze (only the music kept playing, but all control was lost) after giving the doll to the girl (Chie?) so I couldnt go any further.

I do like the aspect of the 'survival horror', but seeing as how this really seems to be more like a 'Silent Hill 2D', I cant rate this too high, and Im a big Silent Hill fan. Not sure if I would even want to pay $10 (not to mention I think Konami would have a cow if they find this). I actually wouldve liked this better if you actually made a 'Silent Hill 2D' game, then it would be a true fan game worth playing.

I love the concept of survivor horror, and this one is a great concept with tremendous potential, but there are several flaws. The game has bugs and sometimes freezes up. The lag during cut scenes causes the player to become impatient and ruins the "suspense" aspect. It's not even a point and click game, as you have to use the arrow and "X" keys for this side scrolling adventure. The creator has the right to ask any price, but after trying the demo, it's not likely anybody will buy it. $10 for a simple side-scrolling game with 8-bit graphics is too much. Improving the game play and the graphics would do wonders. That said, I think the music was great and fit the tone that the story line was trying to create.

im underwhelmed, and to think that you would slap a price tag for the full thing seems silly to me, especially since 10$ is pretty close to a high end price for indie games

this isnt a review as i didnt get far enough to review, just wanted to let you know i tried giving the strange doll to the girl and i couldnt move at all, the game was still going and i could mess with the gamma and aspect ratio, but none of the other controls would work, dont know what happened
