Reviews for "Madness: Project Nexus (Classic)"

Ok. Honest review from a game design standpoint. There are a few major flaws in this game that complately removed the fun out of it:
-Weapons. I cannot stress this enough: the fact that empty weapons remain on the ground and you can pick them up only to realize they're useless, is game-breakingly wrong. Ask yourself in how many FPS and platform games this is possible, then go figure why.
-Performance. In rooms where fights last long (bosses etc), the aforementioned weapons, and the bodies of dead agents, remain forever. Over time the game becomes more and more laggy, eventually making the player lose control of his character entirely. Yes i had settings on Low, and Yes there are weaker computers than mine on the internet, who will experience this problem even more.
-Readability: When agents and weapons are piled up like that, picking up any loaded weapon becomes a matter of pure luck, which sucks.
-Interactivity: We should be able to dismember corpses with sharp melee weapons like the crowbar. Maybe that way we can see what the heck dropped from the locker and where it is. It will also improve performance by somewhat cleaning up the area during fights (or manually, for fun or for finding that goddamn gun hidden behind dead grunts).
-Why do we get to play Hank once and then we're stuck forever with sanford & deimos in missions that look like copy-pastes of one another (until the Bar)? Did the level designer give up after making stage 1, 2 & the ending ones?
-The random dodge. It is VERY counter-intuitive to have a dodge button (that also seems to make you "run" faster shortly) that sends you in a random direction instead of the one you are going towards. Lots of time wasted "dodging" backwards when i needed to go get a weapon to stay alive.
-I know this part is harder but not impossible: needs more killing animations. Every grunt dies the same way right now, no matter how hard i try i still can't slice them in half, chop their head off or thrust my gun in their chest like in nearly every Madness movie. they just show some blood splats and fall over. That's not enough violence for Madness at all.

All of this combined gave me the feeling that each new stage i was starting was a chore, which is very wrong for a game.
I love the Madness universe but i would never introduce a friend to it by presenting him this game, because he would think Madness is way more boring than it actually is. Make this game live up to its name please.

I like this because it has my favorite techinuques and characters! :D
