Reviews for "Traitor"

bugs,bugs,bugs. i can`t use my credits.

JonasKyratzes responds:

Why not? Is there an error, or have you simply not reached the map (where the shops are) yet? If there's an actual bug, please send me a message and I'll try to correct it.

Way too many bugs for me. As another reviewer said, I really want to like this game - I like the art direction, I always have an appreciation for top-down shooters like this. However, when I started up the 2nd level, I wanted to upgrade first, I figured by getting out of the main game, I'd be able to navigate myself to an Upgrade Menu of sorts. Instead, no matter what key I pressed whether it be X to Proceed, C to Cancel, or Q to Exit, I was still forced into the 2nd level. This needs fixing ASAP. Secondly, I find games such as these (starts out difficult, gets easier as you progress) to be a hit or miss. Either you're not powerful enough, or the enemies are way too powerful. I think it's a little nonsensical that you start out with 9 HP and your enemies take off 2 HP per hit. What I'd recommend in future cases is that you start players out super overpowered, something happens to your ship after that and you're back at square one; that will ensure players can know what to expect when they get powerful, and chances are they'll be even more powerful than they were in the beginning.

All I'm really asking here though is that you fix that issue I mentioned. Solid game, just needs some fixing.

JonasKyratzes responds:

Upgrades become available when you reach the map (after the first 4 missions); this is a pretty big game, give it some time.

Wait, why do we have the choice between attacking or not the Medical Supplies Fleet if it doesn't change anything in the game? I thought it'd be Game Over or something, but, nothing at all?

JonasKyratzes responds:

a) Because it's primarily a moral choice.
b) It does actually change something - it affects Occator Prime. Destroying the transports means you get to keep the credits you earned early on, but it also means that several habitats in Occator Prime (where the supplies were going) will be dead.

good game, but there a some bugs. like to the side disapearing ships, two cannons that shoot like one, two cannons but they do damage like one, speed upgrades for the cannons are not fast enough and, after getting speed upgrades for the ship, the movements are lagging so that i crush sometimes into enemys/rocks.

I think this is a great game. You should definitely make a sequel. It has a nice story. Also, I really like how upgrades work, I think it's pretty original. If you do make another game, there should definitely be other ships, with different stats or maybe different mechanics or firepower. It would also be cool if upgrades had an aesthetic effect on the ship.
