Reviews for "War of the Web"

Best game on the internet. I wish it had a chat though like Jiggmin.com does.

I really love this game.
It combines many different Game Styles into one Game and the best part is totally the massive online Community that stands behind this game and to end this correctly I have to say: "Bring Newgrounds the win the Platform just desirves it!"

gr8 game cause of the combined webs and the fun in it :D

This is the most unique game I have ever encountered.

...Nope. Heh. Couldn't keep a straight face.

But it certainly is a great idea. One of the certainly better 'wait and then play' games that Facebook is known for (as compared to Newgrounds, which is known for its fast battling flash games kicking ass). This is NG's lesser known gems of the 'Facebook game' genre type and is certainly a beautiful gem.

On first impressions is a complicated game. But no, it isn't really complicated. The buildings at your disposal has simple uses - the HQ, which sends up soldiers off to war (and necessary to attack), the city, which creates coin to fund repairs and upgrades and new buildings, the spy hub, which sends spies off to enemy territory to find out information about them, the barracks, which recruit members of war to replace the forever weak militia, the armory, which is used to arm your troops, the stronghold, which formations defend a building (but is forever useless without a spy hub)... and...

THE LAUNCH PAD.

This is War of the Web's sacred treasure. This good old (but extremely expensive - 7k just to build one) tool most directly helps the faction reach its ultimate goal - Get to Mars. Of course, having the ultimate key has a consequence - there's a high chance a member of another faction will wipe you (termed 'blacked' in the chatrooms) several times. They DO have a reason for attacking you - attacking launch pads gets you research, which contributes to the overall goal.

This is a great game, but so wrong calling it 'complicated.'

i have never seen a game like this 5 stars
