your game is rather nice, although you might want to look in to your tutorial the first time i went in the game played in the background and it quickly failed and i had to restart. other then that i cant really complain the controls are different from what i am use to but that is a meaning of preference as i am also sure i could change them around in the options

it's a nice game of... tetris. Such a novel idea. Ok, all jokes aside, it is well done. You added some things, and gave it a good feel. The only thing i think I DIDN'T like, was the background which sometimes made it difficult to tell where the pieces began and ended. Aside from that, pretty good.
I think that the pieces are dropping way too fast. I tried to play the marathon mode on the slowest setting and the blocks fell so fast that the stack reached the top of the screen before I could even touch a key on my keyboard. If you slow the pieces down a little bit (or a lot), then the game would be more enjoyable.
Man it has been forever since i have played Tetris.I forgot how fun it is and how fusterating it is when you place something wrong.
