A fun game, if a near perfect clone of The Last Stand. Still, it changed some things that made it, in my opinion, better. My thoughts as follows.
Worked:
-The first person view for the actual shooting I felt was a vast improvement. It felt much better to kill enemies.
-The team distribution worked well for the most part, and I've always liked the concept of organizing teams in zombie games.
-The music, while repetitive, was unobtrusive and didn't really get old.
Didn't Work:
-While I liked the squad system, nothing was worse or more crippling than losing that one teammate that kept the search party going, whether that be your fighters or your searchers. They always seemed to die together for me (as in all my searchers or all my fighters). I had one playthrough where I had almost as many survivors as you could have assigned to teams. The game's solution? Take out literally half my search party with nothing to show for it. I had to reassign all the fighters that were shooting, which made it impossible to survive a wave without massive damage. That meant I had to spend a bunch of time repairing, which meant I couldn't search, etc etc.
-Okay seriously, what the hell is with that aimer? I've never seen a game use one like that. Maybe it's supposed to be realistic but I had a hard time figuring out where exactly to fire to land headshots.
Overall a fun if somewhat difficult game. 4/5 for you.
