Reviews for "Crimson Sin"

Good graphics, not sure what to do

Beautiful graphics, but like the other reviewers I can't figure out how I'm supposed to interact with people. It seems like an awful lot of walking left or right with no clear way to figure out what to do. So far I've gotten pushed by a dark figure, now I'm watching some gray and white couple picnic. I'm not even sure I'm reaching an end anytime soon. An instructions panel or some kind of taskbar or something would be a great improvement

Played 3 times.... just to check

The first time I played it through, I thought it was a rather depressing game ending. All I did was walk to the right, and ended up committing suicide.

Second time, I walked to the left, and nothing happened after a good few minutes. No encounters whatsoever.

Third time, I tried to walk to the right again, but this time, my character got stuck after the dark guy who had his hand sticking out vanished. I couldn't move. I suppose you could claim that was a "different ending."

However, the game mechanics aren't WASD or arrow keys. Only A/D or left-right worked. There is nothing else to do in the game.

The music, while initially spooky, was just annoying after a while.

This has the look of what could be a nice atmospheric/environmental exploration, but it's incomplete and sophomoric in its execution.

Not sure what to do

So I'm walking along, seeing the dark silhouette falling in love with the red one, after he has declared his love to her by pointing at her. And a little longer to the left the hug and then we see them as grown up and he punches her?
And then a hangman is in the background?.. And how do you interact with them? All I can do is walk left and right and I did play this game 3 times and nothing changes and I could do nothing really to change it. I did try and not walk in to the dark silhouette when he is about to shove me, but that did not help.
Good start for a game, but need some more.. either instructions or things you can actually do in the game.

Very well crafted, but missing some elements...

Artwork: 9/10

The Artwork in this game was very well crafted. Although rather bright colors were used, they mix in a way that makes the game look rather eerie/creepy, which I absolutely adore. :)

Audio: 7/10

The audio was a nice touch, and I like the sound effects. The music you used was nice, although after the first few minutes it makes the journey through the game rather lackluster. Maybe if a few more tracks were added that compliment the artwork well, it would have really made things much more interesting.

Gameplay: 3/10

Although beautifully crafted, there are hardly any gameplay elements other than walking. You mentioned that interacting with other characters would determine how the game would end, but I didn't find any way to interact with any of the characters other than the guy that shoots you about halfway in.

It shows promise, and the artwork is great. :) just work on the games interactivity a little bit more, and I'm sure it will turn out great.

Overall: 7/10
