Reviews for "The Masquerade"

Very nice

Great bit of visual story telling. :)

YES

I loved it, its scary how close this is to our society today. Bravo, good sir. Though the animation could have been improved, it still got the message out. And the fact that you did that all in 7 days baffles me. Good job man! I can't wait to see more from you. :]

This is more awesome

This should be in front page. Behind the animation isn't smooth in some parts, I think it give a message to the audience, and in my opinion a good animation is not having the maximun detail and tecnology, its the imagination and talent of the artist to give the message. Newgrounds should learn from artist like this.

Pahgawk responds:

Yeah, I didn't make this because I felt like practising my actual animation skills, which is what I do for a lot of my others; rather, it was because I had a story and a message that I wanted to tell. I still probably could have put more effort into the animation anyway, but oh well...
Thank you!

Nice dramatic shots, good message

For the short period it took you to make, I think that gave some parts a rushed intensity to them. No parts felt stupid or unnecessary either. The message behind this is even more important. It was well executed and believable.

My favorite part was how they used masks to hide other masks, or to fit social appropriateness, and even label eachother as human beings.

Without going to deep here I'd say the delivery of the message was well done.

Pahgawk responds:

Personally, I feel that everyone has a range of masks we wear at times, and I thought the best way to portray that was to literally give people masks on top of more masks :)
Thanks!

Chills

Mind-blowing. In all its simplicity this flash was still very effective and impressive. Beautiful plot. I really enjoyed the style, it was beautifully austere which I don't think is so easy to carry out. The ending gave me honest chills. Brilliant work!

Pahgawk responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
