Really good. The music really set the tone for this. At the begining I wondered why you chose to make it a game as it would have made a good movie too. But as I started to get into the puzzles it made more sense. Great job. Look forward to more!
Thanks, funny you should mention movies. To be fair, this kind of was a love letter to movies. I love the old black and white noir movies
Fun game.
It was a little short but it's supposed to be continued so I guess that's fine. First of all let me say that maybe you should post a walkthrough somewhere. The majority of people that gave you a bad review couldn't figure out the puzzles. The game is fun, the story is interesting, and the music is very good. I didn't even have a problem with the controls. I really enjoyed the puzzles and I can't wait to get my gf to play them so I can laugh at her if she turns out to be one of the people who can't figure them out :3
Here's a hint for the puzzles: There is a clue for every puzzle, and the clue is always in the same room as the puzzle. As in you don't have to remember what happened four rooms ago.
Gripping
Great story, the music draws you in and fits the mood perfectly.
Gameplay wise though, you could have made a clarification at the start that one is supposed to use the mouse to move around and examine. But that's a minor detail that doesn't take away from this masterpiece.

really enjoyed it, looking forward to the next chapter. the first puzzle was the hardest but the rest were pretty simple, maybe make the next ones a little more challenging. really good game though, can't wait.
p.s. the "read between the lines" one, you need to reread the letter that you get just before entering the room.
