A really nice game, simple and fun.
Two things though : the advertising, a little bit annoying, and the game just freezes when picking too much power-ups.
Nothing grave though.

Very addicting game. It's just like ShadowHB said; if you didn't put that ending, I would still be here. As much as the only weakness your hero has is the red point on your character makes the game easier, as I am a complete failure at these kind of shooters, I really appreciate it >.> Considering how massive nyan-cat-octopus-rocket-thing is creative and cool, it would be nearly impossible to avoid getting hit, much less dying, without the point as its only weakness. The powerups were really useful, although I didn't think the bullet amount powerup was as great because the fire wasn't all pointing completely straight (but that's just me :) ).
In terms of choosing a hero, I would actually suggest picking either peyote or the pirate ship. They're not as creative in design, but they are less clunky to use because they are smaller than the nyan-cat-octopus-rocket-thing (plus they ran faster for me because my severely old computer can take it). The music and video-game theme was awesome and I really appreciate how you didn't just take clones of the sprites and environments from the SMB, Space Invader, etc. games. You actually were creative were the designs, adding to the silly theme of the game.
One more thing is that the ending was abrupt and lackluster. I hope a sequel or second game comes a long because I really wanted to play more levels (and preferably a funnier ending).

The graphics are well made and the controls are very smooth. I love the minor gore there is, makes it that much better.
However. The grammar could use some work, and that "5GAMES" link on the bottom of the screen is REALLY an issue and gets in the way.
No, seriously. Move that somewhere else.
