Reviews for "A Boy and his Box"

Ehh...

I'm not a fan of simplicity nor unoriginal stories. Most likely because I'm trying to become an author myself.

The story is... Well... A story. Nothing special what-so-ever. No drama, no tension, nothing to make you feel it. It's all cute and all, but there isn't anything to it. In general, it's a twilight. (Yes, I invented that term just now)

All of the twists are things I've seen before too. The art lacks details, such as mass forests which is quite common if it's the medieval ages we're talking about. Instead, there was nothing but grass. Also, sometimes the storyteller and the art wouldn't quite tell the same thing. My best example:
"He looked to his right" the Main looks to the left. "He looked to his left" the Main looks to his right. It's the classical mistake that just shouldn't be in an animation. It's... All too out of place.

Well, even though I don't like it, I'd love to see more stories like this, maybe just more original and better planned. One of the best things about the stories, is actually the style of writing. It's fluent, makes great, although maybe cheesy pictures emerge in your mind and the storyteller is great too. (Although the music makes you unable to hear her at times, and she probably needs a better mic)

4/10, 2/5.

Thanks for the review. I wasn't writing anything too complex, it was for my capstone project aimed towards 3-6 year olds. But I can definitely see what you're saying.
