Best $5 I've Ever Spent

My friend was telling me about this game the other day, and what he said got me interested, but there really was no way to explain it... I thought it was some 3D game or something... I told him I'd try it with no real intention of it... Then I saw it on Newgrounds... And that it was by Bluebaby?! I bought it after about 2 minutes after the demo. This is one of the best games I've seen from a Newgrounds author. It's challenging enough to make you want to play more, and the random map generation makes it a different experience every time... I can't wait to see more from you guys!

Also, I would LOVE to see this as a twin-stick game for consoles, it would sell A LOT... And I love the references to earlier games in the arcade :D

A great game, and at a good price.

I was skeptical when I saw the banner on the top of the main page. However, I always give games with such banners a shot. Playing the demo, I was quickly hooked; it's simple yet gripping. After playing the demo a time or two, I was quick to log onto Steam and pay less than $6 for both the game, AND it's utterly beautiful soundtrack. It's a game worthy of buying, should you be able to spare the pennies...

This is a great game

Randomly generated you say? Count me in! I'm sick of you guys complaining about the difficulty. It's SUPPOSED to be hard. It's SUPPOSED to be frustrating. People who complain about the religious issues, if you find it offensive, don't play it. It's just a joke, and not meaning to be offensive. People who complain about the game costing 5 bucks, first off let me tell you. It has no repetitiveness whatsoever, and it costs less than Super Meat Boy. None of you are actually criticizing the game for itself, but rather for it's outside issues. Anyway, on to a real review. Strategy? Yes. Challenging enough but made so you can actually get better? Yes. Luck based? Kinda, but the game is more skill based. Good graphics? For 90% of you. Great soundtrack? Yes. Dark humor? Yes. Story? Ridiculous, but in a good way. Repetitive? No way. I bid farewell, and you my friend, deserve 10 stars.

Great music, wonderful gameplay, fantastic artwork, grim atmosphere... It's a great game altogether. I am probably going to buy the full game soon.
Although the game over screen makes me somewhat sad... x_x
