Nice, but way too easy

Being able to craft raw materials from other raw materials (esp. iron, gold and diamonds) pretty much ruins the challenge. I had maxed out my gear before I even explored the depths of the map, much less built any buidings; there just wasn't a need.

Mushrooms turned out to be the rarest commodity, b/c they were in limited supply and required 5 plants to craft 1 mushroom. Mushrooms were needed (along with stone + glow bulb) to craft energy in large supplies, otherwise you were stuck scrounging for it from the ground or animals.

Sediment wasn't very useful. It made rocks, but you could make rocks en masse using all the dirt accumulated.

Trees were pretty much only useful for making glow bulb, since there was plenty of coal to be found.

Basically, I just scoured the surface area and shallows for every plant, rock, mineral, etc I could find, then crafted my way down to iron, gold, diamonds and leet gear. I did one or two deep dives with good gear to pick up a few golds and diamonds at-depth, but otherwise didn't bother heading down much. I do like the idea of having buildings down below to restore oxygen, light & crafting, but I just never found the need since I could craft everything with diligence using basic materials up above.

Side note, as a scuba diver myself, I appreciate your attention to detail, eg: using more air the deeper you go, due to boyle's law and partial pressures compressing the amount of air in a space, thus letting the diver suck in more with each equivilent breath the deeper he goes.

I really loved the crafting you had in the game, and really wished minecraft was more creative in its crafting formulas the way you were.

I loved this game. I liked that it was a leisure explorer game w/o a ton of crap trying to kill me; just me and the elements. It's an interesting spin on the miner games.

Great job!

it ok

good game over all just not my kind of game. but other then that it was great.

good

It's very good, but I'd still rather play Terraria. I'm sure you understand :P

Fun for all

Took me a while to finish since my 7yr old helped me play, but we both enjoyed it. He loved exploring. All the new creatures (and items) you encounter the further down you go was a nice touch. It kept it from becoming boring. All in all, a nice relaxing game for kids and adults, and that can be hard to come by.

Well..

It was a pretty fun game, I sat and played through until the end. I did notice a few things though that I wanted to comment on.

After playing through the game i read the updates that were supposed to be in this version of the game, and noticed a couple of the changes were not working:
1. The two level 3 air tanks stay behind when making the final air tank and the one of the helmet upgrades does the same.
2. The lanterns (I assume you are talking about the flashlights of which you need 8 to make the final one) do not stack in the inventory.

Beyond that I noticed there must be (or have been) a bug in the high scores because unless you already had the engine there is no way you could finish the game in 4 seconds. Something isn't right.

I also noticed that in the build/recipe menu it doesn't tell you what some things do. as I built things I couldn't see any use in building some of the pieces as I had no idea what they did.

I also noticed the time ticks away in the background as you are reading the tutorial. To be fair, help screens should pause the game. Though I can understand build screens not pausing the game.

again I thought it was a pretty fun game. It does still have some bugs, but it was well worth the play. I may even play it again at some point. Definitely a solid 4/5 8/10
