Reviews for "Spectromancer: Gamer Pack"

Great game but

I was playing the hermit class and noticed a horrible bug with the rabbit passive. When a rabbit died it would leave behind its "ghost" perse, as in when you scrolled over the place it died it would show it there although you can not physically see it. It also stopped me from placing any other cards on that place until another rabbit died at a different place and it repeats itself like a cycle. I was enjoying the game up until that point and got fed up because sometimes it determined a win or a lose. Please fix this.

About the game...

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for adding this game to Newgrounds, where i do all my reviews.

I played Spectromancer on a different site first, and quite enjoyed it there. My only real complaint was the lack of single player depth. Dont get me wrong, there is almost nothing wrong with that, TCG's are all about PvP. But I like TCG's where I can have my PvP deck AND my PvE deck, and in most cases I actually enjoy using the PvE better because it's a Deck that isn't just absolutely Tinked to get the most out of the cards you have. That being said, I love the game otherwise.

I've seen some complaints about the Unbalanced Nature about the starter decks, and I've played as every class, and can only find some minor tweaking that would be needed, but otherwise, its all strategy, and its a TCG more about skill and resource management than Luck of the draw, what with there being no luck of the draw, and that has to be my single favorite thing about the Game.

All in all, you did a good job, and I hope you keep making improvements, and expand the Campaign a lot more. If you need any suggestions, I"ve been playing TCG's Since MtG alpha. Good luck with any future changes or submissions, and I hope you keep it up.
(Don't take the 8 stars badly, I take the rating system VERY seriously.)

well balanced

really interesting and new concept to me.its rather well played out for a card game unlike most and the specialty of each class gives the game a twist
*on a seperate note-there is a skip button above your characters picture

Good but not great

Ok, I understand wanting to make a little money off of this game. Shoot, I WAS going to pay for it....

Then for the last three days I haven't won a single match and I can't play as anything other then the mechanical mage to see if the others are any better. I mean, I don't mind losing match or two but this is ridiculous!!

If you're going to charge for the game let people try out a few other classes at least so we know how they work against other actual payers instead of the computer.

I'm putting serious thought into not paying the money for this now because I'm worried about risking even the paltry $20 and then finding out the other classes are just as horrid....

Do some balancing with the classes and maybe it might be better. I expected a lot more from something Richard Garfield was involved in.

5 Stars for a decent game but no more for only allowing one crappy class in the free version

The 'skip turn' button please...

I'm was sure all turn based card games have a 'skip turn' button. Then i come to

this specific game. There were times when I thought it best keeping my options

open for power plays for every element card columns I had. It's kinda sad I had

to choose which ones i have to sacrifice just to keep the game goin. Then I had

one instance there really isn't a card for me to play since some scenario

conditions increase the price of every one of my cards. If no card is available for

because of that condition, what do i do... I'm just stuck for the computer waiting

for my turn when I have no choice at all to keep my turn goin
