im sorry sir but its a fail...
I agree with many of the gamers reviews and points about your completely under powered weapons, poor level design and ridiculously high game requirements. When i aim at something and the sprite looks in a completely different direction this is a problem. Add to this the weak weapons even at fully powered, lag (oh my god the lag) , and crazy game requirements and you have a recipe for a bad review and low scores.
Here is my opinion as to what you should do to change it all:
-Fix the game requirements and lag issue.
I'm sure you would have gotten allot more extra stars that way.
-Either fix the weapons damage or fix the enemies.
Why does it take so many shots to kill a bug that shouldn't be an issue at later levels?
-Fix the aim issue as well
no one wants to aim and see the sprite point a different direction or worse have it shoot a different
direction
-The music needs help
Add a an extra track or 2
- the level needs help
Im not sure if its a design or concept issue but when my sprites running around and then gets
hurt
by a yet to completely spawn enemy it is completely annoying.
-fix the enemy types
i like it to be challenging but either remove the amount of alien "Pandora's box" that keep
happening or just don't have them or make it random. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad if the
weapons issue was changed
- better intro
Im not expecting some Michael Bay intro but just redo it to feel more impacting
+do keep the weapon customization and title screen dont change that
+keep the melee attack
Hell give us a sword up grade :)
+armor and health upgrades would be nice
+ignore the "its been done before" statements.
So what? EVERYTHING has been done before. Its just a matter of presentation.
I think you were on to something but the game feels rushed. It has a slight "Space Marine vs. Tyranids" feel but that's not bad.
