Reviews for "Death Star: The Nick Name"

Lawzers

I don't really like the art style (personnal opinion no offence) and it wasn't really easy to hear the voices but that's just the helmets so meh :P
Other then that it was fun to watch :D
PS: I never had the chance to play with someone playin' has an ''ally'' Vader but I did play agains't him in SWBF 2 and manage to kill him has an ordinary trooper (on hoth): killing blow with a nade :D
And i'm done with the useless info -_-'

Dosensuppen responds:

Personal opinions are just that. Hell, I think I could do better. But, as I got, the helmet effect is kinda hard to hear, so it's either add subtitles, or ditch the helmet. I think more of the former.

Nice!

I saw this flash before but didn't vote it or review it. I don't know why.
I'm very happy this made it to the top 5. I think it deserved 2nd place , atleast , but nonetheless , i'm happy it made it.
The animation is actually good. Nice details here and there. The only things you could add are :
1) Better quality in voices. The voices and voice acting were actually pretty good , seriously. But the quality of the voices isn't all that great. Sometimes it was kinda hard to understand what they were saying.
2) More FPS. Sometimes the movement was kinda lacking. It was not that bad all togheter , but it doesn't gives away that fact.

Anyway , i won't give you a very big penalty for those 2 things seeing how you're not a very frequent flash animator. Yet still , you've made a very good job with this one out. Hope to see more like this, and keep it up!

Dosensuppen responds:

Thanks for the advice. I keep getting that the helmet effect I put on them made the voices hard to hear. I wonder if I should just keep the helmet effect, because I like that effect, on and add subtitles, or ditch the helmet. Maybe make the subtitles optional since everyone doesn't like those things.

The Force is strong with this one

I was pleasantly surprised by this animation--I initially expected it to be full of lame jokes, but found myself laughing hard by the end, especially when Vader exited singing (rather pompously) to the Imperial march. The voices were a bit hard to understand, but the stormtroopers in the movies (and all the games in which they are featured) sound exactly like that.

It was no surprise that Darth Vader did not react well to the third stormtroopers honest opinion of his new nickname, for he certainly doesn't take criticism well (e.g. as in Episode IV). I was expecting him to Force-choke the offender, but the way he dispatched him was fine as well.

I can see a great series coming out of this, perhaps detailing the daily misadventures of those two stormtroopers stationed on the Death Star. Not too many SW-related stories, canon or otherwise, are from the Imperial perspective, so your animation is a great addition.

Dosensuppen responds:

Thank you, kind sir, you definitely labled what I was going for. And yes, I was following the tale of Tom, Greg, and Tim (the temp). As well as Darth Vader, The Emperor and a few other Storm Troopers.

not bad

its a good parody but it would be awsome it you put subtitle because i dont understand some jokes

Dosensuppen responds:

I felt that would conflict with the movie, but hey.

pretty good

i gove it a 8/10 cuz it looks weird when the stormtroopers heads move when it talks and the rest of the body doesnt, but i do like vader killing people so it was pretty funny.

Dosensuppen responds:

I wasn't aware that your body was completely reliant on your head -- movement wise.
